Timescale
Beaky Blinders will only accept orders that allow sufficient time to create them to our agreed

celebration cakes is sufficient. This is to allow for ordering of ingredients and any equipment
required. Wedding cakes usually involve 25-30 hours work and celebration cakes, 5-8 hours.
Due to fluctuations in prices of ingredients and consumables, unless otherwise stated, all prices
indicated within a Quotation are valid for 30 days.
All celebration cakes and cupcakes orders are to be placed either via contact us form, email or

While we take every measure possible to check orders, it is also the responsibility of the
customer to make sure the details on the Quotation are accurate. While we will do everything
we can to rectify the situation when an error is made i.e. wrong date or misspelt name, the
responsibility lies with the customer to check the details.

occur through misconduct (e.g) faceplanting and practical jokes etc.
We also take pictures of ALL cakes before we have delivered them to the recipient.
For wedding cakes, photographs will be taken of the cake once it is staged at the venue to
ensure that it is set up to the agreed design and without damage. A signature will be required to
accept the cake.
Best Before Dates and Storage
When preparing sponge cakes, especially larger ones, the cakes need to be prepared two or
three days before the event. While we do everything to ensure that the cake is as fresh as
possible for the event, the best before dates are usually within three days of the event,
especially if fresh buttercream or chocolate ganache has been used.
Normally, it is best to store your cake in a cool room in the box provided until your event. Do not
refrigerate as fondant icing will deteriorate.
Any remaining cake should be wrapped in cling film and stored in the box provided.
If it's a non fondant cake, it can be wrapped in parchment paper and foil and frozen for up to 3
months.

Data Protection
Beaky Blinders is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. We are committed to
ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure,
we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and

Naked Cakes
These are created the day before the event and decorated last minute to ensure that they are
fresh. They need to be served and eaten on the day of the event.
Should the weather be hot on the day of the event, the cake will be kept chilled for as long as
possible before being put on display.
Marquees
Please ensure you notify us if your event is taking place in a marquee at the venue.
For celebrations held in marquees, please ensure that the table that the cake is to be displayed
on will be level, strong and on an even surface. Be aware that temporary wooden flooring can
move slightly.
The temperature within a marquee is much harder to control on a hot day, therefore the cakes
should be put on display for a minimal time as buttercream and ganache will warm up and can
melt, making the cake unstable. Any fresh flower decorations will also start to wilt. On a damp
day, sugarpaste can start to go sticky.
